(Speakers will be taken in the order in which they sign up and will be limited to 3-minutes per public comments. If the number wishing to testify exceeds 10 speakers, then additional speakers may be allowed if the chair determines that time permits or may be taken at a later time. When there is an additional opportunity for public comment in the afternoon, speakers will only be permitted to offer public comment on a specific topic once on the same day.)
If you wish to submit written comment, please send an email to [email protected] by no later than noon, the day before the scheduled meeting. In the email subject line please include: PUBLIC COMMENT FOR MEETING DATE MM/DD/YYYY. These emails will be compiled and will be included on the Board Agenda with a “view material” link. Please note, all emails submitted will be public record.

(All items listed here are considered to be routine by the Board of Commissioners and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There will be no separate discussion of these items. If discussion is desired, that item will be removed from the Consent Calendar and will be considered separately.)

*NOTE: Next scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting is Thursday, January 15, 2026.

This Board of Commissioners meeting is hybrid, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance. Members of the public wishing to address the Board in-person can sign up the day of the meeting in Harris Hall (no prior scheduling is necessary).  The doors to Harris Hall will be opened 15 minutes before the meeting begins and sign-up sheets will be available near the entrance.  Those wishing to participate virtually can register for the Zoom meeting on the Lane County Board Agendas webpage.  Virtual attendees will have their audio and video muted until asked to raise their “virtual” hand to be recognized to speak.  Individuals will be given a specified amount of time for their comments.  Online registration only allows for virtual participation and an in-person sign-up only allows for in-person participation.

Public Comment:

Members of the public wishing to address the Board of Commissioners may do so during the Public Comment session and can speak on any topic not scheduled for a public hearing at the same meeting.  In-person sign-ups are accepted beginning 15 minutes before the meeting starts through the end of the Public Comment session.  Virtual sign-ups are accepted through the end of the Public Comment session (individuals must be logged into the Zoom meeting before the end of Public Comment in order to be called on to speak).

Public Hearings:

Members of the public can provide comment during a public hearing on a specific agenda item which will be included as testimony for that public hearing.  In-person sign-ups are accepted beginning 15 minutes before the start of the meeting and close at the start of the public hearing.  Virtual sign-ups are accepted up to the start of the public hearing (individuals must be logged into the Zoom meeting by the start of the public hearing to be called on to speak).
